Handwoven 120-count linen from Bhagalpur, in a slate that reads charcoal indoors and cool grey in daylight. Crisp enough on the first wear to hold a knife pleat, and it only gets softer.
A plain woven border, a temple-line edging in tonal thread, and nothing else. This is the saree we wear to work.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle from the third wash. Line dry in shade. Steam or iron damp for a crisp fall.
